What is included in the treatment abroad cost?
The quoted treatment abroad cost covers all essential medical components of your knee surgery.
This includes the surgical procedure, hospital stay, operating theatre costs, implants and medical materials used during surgery, and medications required during your hospital admission.
It also includes Healing Journey’s treatment abroad medical coordination services throughout the process - from pre-travel preparation to structured post-return follow-up.
There are no additional charges for the core medical elements of your surgical treatment.
What does the treatment abroad complication insurance cover?
The treatment abroad insurance programme provides defined coverage for a period of up to six months following surgery.
It is designed to support patients in the unlikely event of post-operative medical complications. This may include, depending on clinical necessity, treatment of significant post-surgical conditions such as deep infections, thromboembolic events, or implant-related complications that require medical intervention.
Coverage is structured to support necessary medical care either during your stay or after you return home, in accordance with the policy terms.
Do I need to arrange my own travel and accommodation?
You may arrange your own flights and accommodation if you prefer.
If requested, Healing Journey can assist with coordinating flights in line with your surgical schedule and help organise suitable accommodation close to the hospital, ensuring your travel and stay align safely with your medical plan.
