Who Is Eligible for TKR?
You may be a candidate for total knee replacement if:
- You have severe osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or post-traumatic arthritis.
- You experience chronic knee pain that limits your ability to walk, climb stairs, or perform daily activities.
- Non-surgical treatments such as medication, physical therapy, or injections have failed to provide sufficient relief.

Each patient is evaluated individually by our orthopedic team to ensure the procedure is appropriate and beneficial.
About the Procedure
Total knee replacement surgery involves:

- Removal of damaged cartilage and bone from the ends of the femur and tibia.
- Placement of a custom-fit prosthetic joint made of durable metal and medical-grade plastic.
- Realignment of the knee to restore natural movement and improve joint function.
The procedure is performed under spinal or general anesthesia and typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours.
